About eOsphere

eOsphere provide sustainable satellite Earth observation solutions for a wide range of commercial and governmental customers. Key application areas include the provision of affordable satellite ground receiving stations for hazard monitoring and the use of Earth observation data to support international development, such as the rangeland monitoring capability currently being deployed as a part of the SIBELIUs project. 

eOsphere have been building international partnerships, working in countries throughout the world since 2001. eOsphere satellite ground receiving stations are installed in China, India, Mongolia, UK, Iraq, Sudan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Greece, Ecuador and Cuba. eOsphere have also work together extensively with companies, universities and government institutions throughout Europe. 

Ground stations

eOsphere satellite receiving ground stations are designed and built in the UK and installed all around the world. The eOsphere turnkey solution for EOS Terra, Aqua MODIS, NPP & JPSS data reception is an affordable ground station with many environmental and hazard monitoring applications: Fire hot-spot detection, Agriculture support, Smoke and volcanic ash, Ocean sea surface temperature, Sediment and chlorophyll, Drought monitoring, Snow, Land cover & biomass.

Earth observation for development 

The SIBELIUs project, supported by the UK Space Agency, is delivering improved severe-weather resilience for Mongolian herding communities using satellite Earth observation. The solution provides improved capacity for distributing new and upgraded environmental information products, regarding pasture, snow and drought, to stakeholders supporting herding communities. Stakeholders include the insurance sector, government agencies coordinating livestock and land use, and local countryside officials and directly to the herders through television and text messaging
